Ichigo's Sustainable Real Estate business has a proven track record of preserving and improving existing real estate, while challenging the wasteful cycle of demolition and redevelopment in Japan’s real estate industry. Ichigo will build on this long-standing commitment to sustainability by developing new technologies to extend the lives of buildings and other social infrastructure 100 years and beyond.

In November 2012, we launched our clean energy business after the Fukushima nuclear accident to support Japan's shift into clean, safe renewables. We deploy Ichigo's expertise in real estate to make effective use of idle land across the nation by building utility-scale solar and more recently wind power plants. Our largest plant, the Ichigo Showamura Ogose ECO Power Plant, has 167,000 solar panels that can power 14,500 homes.

By obtaining certifications such as GRESB, CASBEE, BELS, and DBJ Green Building, we are demonstrating our long-standing commitment to sustainability through initiatives that benefit investors, tenants, clients, and other stakeholders. With our deep experience in real estate renovation and improvement, we work to increase the safety and functionality of buildings, while reducing energy use and environmental impact to create a more sustainable society.
